WHAT DO YOU DO?
We help support women in employment who have obstacles to being employed: a history of felony, incarceration, addiction or homelessness.

 

WHY DO YOU DO IT?
We want to help women get job experience so that they can gain full time employment and become self-sufficient.

 

WHAT IMPACT ARE YOU MAKING?
Our products are all made from upcycled fabrics like banners, tire tubes and upholstery. We support the employment of women with obstacles.

 

WHAT (OR WHO) INSPIRES YOU TO MAKE THIS IMPACT?
Mission Wear knows that women who have a history of felony or incarceration will experience great difficulty obtaining employment. Mission Wear wants to support their job training and help them learn a skill so that they can obtain sustainable employment.

 

WHAT’S YOUR BIG DREAM FOR THE ORGANIZATION AND THE IMPACT YOU WANT TO MAKE?
We want to continue supporting women in recovery who need to learn a skill and become self sufficient.

 

WHAT RESOURCES DO YOU NEED TO MAKE THOSE DREAMS COME TRUE?
We currently utilize upcycled fabrics to make our products and then sell them in retail stores, online and at markets. We are looking for retail store owners and individuals to purchase our products so that our manufacturing increases thus the need for more women to employ.

 

WHAT IS (OR HAS BEEN) YOUR BIGGEST CHALLENGE?
Running a small business.
