WHAT DO YOU DO?

In a nut shell: social media management for be good, do good, live good companies.

WHY DO YOU DO IT?

We do it because we know that every business has a story and it’s not always about the product or service. It can be in their mission, their community ties, the volunteer hours their employees put into something they are so passionate about. And THAT is what gives the business a personality, gives it culture and strong values. We believe that should be showcased on social media so the masses know WHO the company is, not just what they do.

WHAT IMPACT ARE YOU MAKING?

In the past four years we’ve made an impact on businesses that would otherwise not be able to communicate their message to an audience that they didn’t have before on social media. We believe we’ve gotten the employees of some of these businesses excited about what they are doing and making them realize THEY are making an impact. We’ve been able to grow businesses because of the message we are spreading across their social media channels.

WHAT (OR WHO) INSPIRES YOU TO MAKE THIS IMPACT?

I have always been inspired by this quote: “Never doubt that a small group of thoughtful committed citizens can change the world. Indeed, it’s the only thing that ever has.” (Margaret Mead)

I believe strongly in the power of small business owners who are resourceful, scrappy, passionate and dedicated to making a difference. They all have a story and those stories need to be shared in order to inspire others to persevere in their dreams. If we can share some of those stories through social media that impact others and grow a business then that’s what its all about. So…its the small business owners who continue to inspire me – and lucky for me, our clients are these people!

WHAT IS (OR HAS BEEN) YOUR GREATEST CHALLENGE?

The biggest challenge has been and I think will be for a long time – showing the value or ROI of social media.

WHAT WORDS OF ADVICE DO YOU HAVE FOR OTHER LEADERS WHO ARE LOOKING TO MAKE AN IMPACT?

If it’s something you are passionate about, stay focused on that. There will be lots of hurdles, challenges and set-backs through every stage of business but ALWAYS keep your passion or your big WHY at the forefront. And always act out of courage, not fear. 🙂

HOW CAN OTHERS SUPPORT YOU OR YOUR CAUSE?

If anyone knows some AWESOME social media account managers — send them my way.
