We’re hiring an Account Steward and are looking for the most awesome, incredible, how-did-we-ever-live-without-them PR rock star to join our team. Check out the details below:

ACCOUNT STEWARD ROLE + RESPONSIBILITIES
We are a growing company with a solid vision and the drive to get there – and get there quickly. We’re looking for PR rock star to join our team and give us the support we need to take our clients and our business from the side stage to the main stage.

At Orapin Marketing + Public Relations, we are steadfast in our belief about three things:

  1. We are all adults.
  2. We are all owners (of our work and our decisions).
  3. We are results-based.

Our team includes stakeholders who are passionate about what we’re doing, not employees who punch clocks.  No one is an employee. Everyone is a stakeholder because we only want people who will own their work, not just do it. Employees have to be told what to do; stakeholders are proactive and make the job better.

We believe in working together as a committed community to get results for each other and our clients. We all work from our homes and set our own hours.

If you enjoy meaningful work, a focus on RESULTS, not activity, working very closely with other stakeholders and clients half the time and completely on your own from home with no one watching the other half, we might be a good fit.

If you find fulfillment in:

  1. Achieving phenomenal results – constantly seeking to stay ahead of the game to achieve results for clients and peers. We aren’t worried about you recording every minute of your day, we want you to focus on achieving phenomenal results for our clients. We don’t bill or pay for hours, we bill and pay for expertise and results.
  2. Always finding a solution – No problem is too big or too small – you will find a way! You are able to identify a problem and take initiative to find a solution – you don’t look to others to figure out what needs to be done. You bring us solutions, not problems.
  3. Being an independent contractor, but don’t want to have to worry about the pressure of going out and getting your own clients and would love to leverage the internal processes, structure and team that we have already put in place.
  4. Acting as if you own the company – taking initiative and ownership, making decisions, thinking ahead and being proactive (we don’t need reactive), working with others to constantly make things better and deliver better results every day.
  5. Not working 9-5, but 8-3, 9-4, 10-2, 9-noon, nothing today – go for a walk, 7-1, etc.
  6. Working together with a few other people in a committed community to do what you love and live the life that you want, and to play a critical role in taking the business to the next level…

…then we might be a good fit.

OUR VALUES
Our culture is built on a foundation of purpose, intention and respect. We believe in:

Vision :: The “big why.” We value having the foresight, confidence, determination, faith, trust and pride to know why we do what we do and the impact that has on our lives and on those around us.

Relationships :: We value our relationships and the ability to choose the people we spend our days with. We are each other’s colleagues, cheerleaders and support team.

Balance :: We value the mindset of working to live, not living to work. Work is a vehicle to achieve our “big whys,” it isn’t our life’s purpose in and of itself. We intend to find balance, create boundaries and be present in everything we do. We believe taking time to live life will only inspire our work.

Service :: We aren’t here to sell, we’re here to serve. We are deeply invested in our clients and partners and are committed to serve them and make a difference in their lives and businesses. We are passionate about what we have to offer and sharing that knowledge and expertise.

ACCOUNT STEWARD ROLE + RESPONSIBILITIES
Serve as primary client contact, providing strategic direction and execution of the tactical elements of clients’ integrated marketing communications campaigns.

In this position you will be on the ground running with our clients, driving the direction of the account and implementing the scope of work. We are looking for someone who is obsessed with delivering exceptional results and values independence, freedom and autonomy.

    RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Manage client accounts – Manage all components of campaign development, implementation and measurement and ensure that all communications efforts – from public relations, to marketing, brand management, design and online communications – are working together in harmony.
  • Manage and execute scope of work – Ensure the scope of work on each account is met on time and on budget. If there are instances where the scope of work, budgets or timelines need to be adjusted, work with OMPR partners to strategize best course of action.
  • Client relations – Maintain close and frequent contact with clients and strengthen rapport between the OMPR and the client.
  • Client meetings –Attend in-person monthly and quarterly meetings with clients. Prepare for the meetings by developing an agenda and follow-up by developing a game plan that will drive the execution of the scope of work.
  • Results tracking – Track your results on client accounts as they happen. We are a results-oriented agency committed to showing the ROI of our clients’ investment.
  • Client reporting – Manage creation of monthly or quarterly reports showing your achieved results. Must be able to speak to these results and understand what will best show client ROI.
  • Ongoing education – Stay on top of each client’s industry, competition and coverage. Continually look for various client opportunities.
  • Account updating – Keep OMPR partners in the loop about what’s going on and any changes to client accounts.
  • Monthly OMPR in-person team meeting – Meet with the team in-person once a month to collaborate, brainstorm and discuss client accounts.

   REQUIRED PERSONALITY + SKILLS

  • Vision for your life and understanding how contract work will get you there
  • Desire to be part of a growing business with a clear vision for the future
  • Motivated by the opportunity to work on your own time and on your own schedule
  • Fun to be around (like we would hang out on the weekends) and while you’re serious and intentional about getting s*@t done, you don’t take yourself too seriously
  • Strong sense of urgency but the intuition to know what constitutes a true emergency
  • Find comfort and excitement in the fact that each day looks different
  • Appreciate and thrive in the freedom to take initiative and be proactive in your role
  • Self-starter attitude with the drive and ambition to roll-up your sleeves and get things done
  • Passionate about PR and the affect it can have on a client’s bottom line
  • Previous PR and marketing experience, agency experience is a plus
  • Obsessed with doing great work; focused on doing the job the right way, not on how long a task takes
  • Able to work under deadline pressures and adjust quickly to changing priorities with composure
  • Exceptional writing, editing and grammar skills with AP style expertise
  • Ability to think strategically and proactively, offering solutions and providing practical knowledge to execute tactically
  • Incredibly detail-oriented. (Like you noticed there was a period at the end of this bullet and not one on the others and it bothered you.)
  • Focused on results, not activity, and able to handle multiple projects/tasks at once
  • Enjoys being part of a team but happy to work virtually

This is a contract/1099 position, not salaried. Benefits are not included.

TIME COMMITMENT
This is a part-time position. Time commitment will vary based on client work and will increase to meet your desired commitment as client base does.
