The Austin-Based, Vintage-Inspired Barber Shop Will Open In Mid-May Near Union Station

Finley’s Barber Shop, the celebrated Austin-based and locally-owned concept known for providing a luxury grooming experience for men, is coming to the Denver community with multiple locations, the first in mid-May near Denver’s Union Station. Located at 1601 Wewatta St. 80202, the barber shop from owners Scott Finley and Darren Peterson, is the rapidly-growing company’s first foray outside of Texas.  The company has expansion plans for up to ten locations in Denver with immediate build-outs confirmed for Westminster and Cherry Hills. Founded in 2008, Finley’s combines the traditions of barbering with fine product and impeccable service.

“I couldn’t be more excited to introduce Finley’s to the Denver community,” said Scott Finley, co-owner. “Guys have come to appreciate the personal service…the hot towels, the scalp massage, the aromatherapy and the camaraderie. It’s a true escape for the Denver man.”

The award-winning shop is open seven days a week and offers hot-towel straight-razor shaves, haircuts, waxing, head shaves and color treatments and combos for the discerning Denver man. Finley’s has recreated the look and feel of the American barber shop from the classic leather barber chairs, to the well-appointed stations with Carrera marble countertops and vintage black and white tile mosaics. Finley’s fans describe it as a place where men can enjoy the camaraderie of fellowship and escape the stressors of everyday life.

The concept is best-known for its “Father and Son-days” weekly Sunday service special, which reflects their belief that a barbershop is the perfect place to build a special relationship between father and son—and it can be cultivated while enjoying a shave and haircut.

“Finley’s selected Denver as our first out-of-state location because of its economic vitality and energetic community.  It’s very similar to our hometown of Austin in the laid-back, outdoor enthusiast lifestyle,” said Darren Peterson, co-owner. “The popularity of Finley’s in Texas is a sign that the tradition of old-fashioned barbering services is still alive and well and we are excited to bring the Finley’s concept to the Denver market.”

Finley’s has leased 1,700 RSF near Union Station in the Hines Building; 1,500 RSF in Bradburn Village (4301 Main Street, Westminster); and 1,300 RSF in Cherry Hills/Greenwood Village (5910 South University Blvd.), with more locations planned. The privately-owned and operated Finley’s will have 15 locations across Austin, Dallas, Denver and Houston by July 2017.  For more information visit www.finleysformen.com.
