Our client, Pop Culture Classroom recently partnered with the ECDC African Community Center to communicate the value of refugee stories, both to the refugees themselves and to those of us who want to learn from their stories. The “Connection Through Comics” series was created to translate the stories of adult refugees, who immigrated to the United States and resettled in the greater Denver area, into fully realized comics with the help of professional comic book artists from across the world. In all, nine comic book scripts introducing roughly 15 refugee characters were created. The scripts were then provided to artists around the world to create final art for the comics which will be displayed and distributed at Denver Pop Culture Con 2019. Read more in Denver Post YourHub.
