WHAT IMPACT ARE YOU MAKING?
We impact the employee. Most employees are not taking proper advantage of the benefits their employers offer them. We provide a solution that empowers the employee to make the right decision.
WHAT (OR WHO) INSPIRES YOU TO MAKE THIS IMPACT?
It all goes back to the employee. We want employees to understand the value of the benefits their employers are giving them. Employers spend thousands of dollars on providing the best benefits to increase retention, and hire the best talent. We ask the question, are employees taking full advantage of their benefits, and do they understand what they are being offered? It all starts with education around what is being offered and the ease of enrollment.
WHAT’S YOUR BIG DREAM FOR THE ORGANIZATION AND THE IMPACT YOU WANT TO MAKE?
We believe that employees under appreciate their benefits. Given how competitive it is to get top talent, employers are spending a fortune on providing the best benefits package in order to remain desirable by top candidates. We have noticed a gap in the amount employers are spending on benefits and the perceived value of the benefits from the employees. We are seeking to change that.
WHAT RESOURCES DO YOU NEED TO MAKE THOSE DREAMS COME TRUE?
First and foremost, we are a tech company, so we must heavily invest in a rock star development team to ensure our platform continues to drive innovation in a stagnant industry. We also need to invest in design from a graphics and UI/UX perspective because it has a high impact on the employee’s usability of our ecosystem.
WHAT IS (OR HAS BEEN) YOUR BIGGEST CHALLENGE?
One of our biggest challenges as an organization was finding the right people. We learned that we cannot be reactive with our hiring strategy, but it was hard for us to be patient when we had open positions that we needed to fill in a short timeline. We have since revamped our hiring process. A process that truly allows us to get to know our candidates, what they’ve done in the past and if they would be a fit for us in the long-term. Trusting a new process was hard for us, but now that we are using it in full force we have gained new hires that have truly elevated our team.
WHAT WORDS OF ADVICE DO YOU HAVE FOR OTHER LEADERS LOOKING TO MAKE AN IMPACT?
Our advice is to always remember that human capital is the most valuable asset a company can have. It’s vital to create a transparent, goal driven environment that has a clear purpose, because this type of employee experience allows individuals to align themselves with the organization and keep everyone rowing together, as a team, in the same direction.
