Rocky Mountain ADA Center Publicity Campaign

The Rocky Mountain ADA Center is a grant project of Meeting the Challenge, Inc. that provides information, training and informal guidance to individuals and organizations with rights and responsibilities under the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA). The Rocky Mountain ADA Center serves a six-state region including Colorado, Montana, North Dakota, South Dakota, Utah and Wyoming. It is one of 10 regional centers that are a part of the ADA National Network, sponsored by grants from the U.S. Department of Education’s National Institute on Disability and Rehabilitation Research.

Case Study

  • To educate individuals and organizations on their rights and responsibilities under the ADA and increase implementation of the ADA within the Rocky Mountain ADA Center’s six state region.

  • To establish the Rocky Mountain ADA Center and its team as experts on the ADA and disability issues in the Rocky Mountian region.

For four years, we led the regional publicity efforts to create brand awareness of the Rocky Mountain ADA Center and establish it as the go-to source for individuals and businesses with rights and responsibilities under the ADA. We developed various materials including press releases, press pitches, bylined articles, a press kit and online press room. In addition, we developed and managed the organization’s Facebook page and provided extensive training on social media to their staff.

Some of the noted press coverage we garnered included placements on 9News, CBS4 Denver and 7News, and in the Denver Post, Daily Camera, United Press International (UPI),, Deseret News, Colorado Springs Gazette, Colorado Springs Business Journal, Colorado Springs Independent, Argus Leader, The Missoulian, Casper Star-Tribune, Standard-Examiner, Centennial Citizen, Aurora Sentinel, Northern Colorado Business Report, Denver Options, Disabled World, Denver Business Attorney Blog, Rehab Management and recurring placements in Apostrophe Magazine. The work we did resulted in increased public knowledge of individual rights and responsibilities under the ADA and increased interest in the services the Rocky Mountain ADA Center provides to the public.
